Aligning with God’s Purpose
You must be in the right position to receive fully.
Picture a tap and a bottle that you intend to use to collect water from it. If the bottle is not properly positioned directly beneath the tap, it may either receive no water at all or waste a significant quantity of the water being dispensed.
God is ever willing to dispense His blessings, grace, and talents to us. He gives liberally (James 1:5b), but we must be in the right position to receive fully all that He intends to give us. We must be rightly positioned beneath Him, ready to receive the potentials He desires to deposit in us, so that we do not waste what He so generously dispenses.
You may ask, What about receiving in small quantities? You know, like a container that is not directly beneath the tap but still manages to collect some water, even as it wastes a considerable amount.
But consider this: as Christians, we are constantly dispensing. We are called to give, serve, bless, and pour into the lives of others. And remember, to give out, you must first have something to give.
If you continually dispense the potentials within you and put them to use without adequately receiving more, you risk becoming depleted. Your value and usefulness in dispensing what God has deposited in you can be affected when the rate at which you give exceeds the rate at which you receive. Eventually, your receptive tank may run into a deficit, leaving you with little or nothing to give.
This is why alignment matters.
Be rightly positioned so that you do not miss out on all He is dispensing. Do not settle for receiving in drips when you can be positioned to receive the full flow. Do not allow what God intends to deposit in you to go to waste because you are out of alignment with His purpose.
Let your container remain beneath the tap. Let your capacity to receive be continually renewed. And as you pour into others, ensure that you remain connected to the Source.
Stay aligned. Keep receiving. Keep dispensing and Keep Abounding.
