Seek wise counsel

Wise counsel is especially critical when it comes to spiritual concerns and matters of personal integrity. After all, we’re only human. Scripture passages can be misinterpreted and taken out of context. We can claim, sometimes, to hear God’s calling when it’s really our own greed, lust, or envy that’s driving a decision. We might make a decision that’s good for business but bad for our conscience.
"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed" (Proverbs 15:22).
